The Mudcats, Blues Fest House Band. Recorded live at Blues Fest in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
The Mudcats formed when we had a slot to fill at Blues Fest. I would call musicians out of the audience and put together a band. We would do some Blues and a lot of Dylan. Soon the audience was asking when are The Mudcats going to play?
The Mudcats always jam. Keeping with tradition and inviting musicians from the audience to join us on stage. Another Mudcats tradition is to always play some songs we have never played before. Although normally shy and reticent we're fearless when it comes to playing music.
"Know the song! What do you mean know the song? We're The Mudcats."
